Biography
Lukas Loss is a festival director, cultural entrepreneur, and pianist. He is the founder and director of Interfinity, an interdisciplinary music festival that bridges the arts and sciences, bringing together musicians, researchers, and artists to explore pressing societal and scientific themes. His work with Interfinity has earned him prestigious cultural awards in Switzerland.

Lukas studied piano in Basel, graduating summa cum laude, and also pursued harpsichord studies. As a soloist, he has performed with the Basel Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his work as a festival director, he has been active as a conductor. As a chamber musician, he has performed extensively across Europe. In early 2022, one of his ensembles was featured on BBC Radio. He is also the co-founder of Modul8, a successful techno event series in Basel.

Beyond music, Lukas serves as director of Kulturhalle Volta, curating the program at Voltahalle Basel, starting from June 2026.

He also manages the concert activities and artistic engagements of internationally acclaimed musicians, ensembles, and composers, including the pianist Alice Burla, the cellist Milena Marena and the composer Yair Klartag.​
